Passionate about drones his whole life, Tobias Wentzler has always played a key role in driving the industry forward. Now, he urges the aviation industry to embrace innovation to rise above the unprecedented crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Tobias, if companies don’t innovate, “they will be overrun by those that are more open-minded, trying out new technologies and implementing these new technologies into their existing workflows”.
When he led the aerial inspection services at Lufthansa back in 2015, he gained perspective on the state of drone technology and its future potential. Now, he is enabling the new technology to benefit society at DJI, the world’s leading drone manufacturer.
In his role as Enterprise Business Development Manager, Tobias guides business growth while unlocking the potential of drone-powered solutions as a part of daily operations. “I talk a lot about drones, how to use drones, what are drones good for”, he explains.
He is an optimist when it comes to the future of drones in the aviation industry. Equipped with advanced sensors, drones are “more efficient and faster in providing in-depth information than human beings”, optimizing, for instance, aircraft inspections, says Tobias. Tune in to discover more!
